James Cavallo working as MwEPA-LLC has extensive experience in computer modeling of the energy use of buildings. From small single family dwellings and individual apartments to large multifamily and commerical buildings, he brings the right tools to the task. He is especially comfortable using the U.S. Department of Energy's EnergyPlus model for larger buildings with many zones of differing comfort and conditioning. For small residential buildings, he favors using the REM/Design software. With these tools, he estimates and analyzes energy consumption by fuel and end-use, as well as the impacts of alternative designs.
